Thought you might enjoy this article.  It was published in the January issue of American Bonanza Society magazine.  It points out a really scary situation that I experienced, and no doubt has killed a few pilots who were reported in the final accident report as “failure to control the aircraft when flying on partial panel”.  There was a crash in November 2003 that just reeks of the same kind of failure.  I hope that someone eventually puts an AD on these instruments to preclude further challenges like I faced.  Fortunately, I faced it in VMC conditions, otherwise I would not be here to report the problem.
